- •The practice was renamed Rayner Eye Clinic in 1975 when Dr. Jim Rayner introduced intraocular lens implantation combined with cataract surgery — a technique unavailable anywhere else in the region at the time.
- •In 2004–2006, Dr. Tom Tann and Dr. Doty Farmer acquired the practice, ensuring continuity of its century-long legacy.
- •In 2022, the clinic moved to its current state-of-the-art 19,000-square-foot facility at 2606 South Lamar Boulevard in Oxford — equipped to deliver the full spectrum of advanced ophthalmic care under one roof.
- •Service area covers North Mississippi and surrounding regions, with patients traveling from throughout the greater Memphis metropolitan area, Delta communities, and neighboring states.
