Dr. Doty Farmer is a comprehensive medical and surgical ophthalmologist with more than twenty-five years of experience providing comprehensive eye care to patients across the mid-south region. Originally from Benoit, Mississippi, Dr. Farmer earned a bachelor's degree from Delta State University and a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where he also completed his internship and ophthalmology residency and served as Chief Resident.
Dr. Farmer completed certification by the American Board of Ophthalmology in 2002 and recertification again in 2012, is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, a Fellow of the Mississippi State Medical Association, a member of the North Mississippi Medical Society and has been honored with numerous professional awards throughout his training and career.
Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Farmer is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hunting, fishing, hiking, running and spending time at the beach and in the mountains. He is a proud father of three and treasures time spent with his family and in the outdoors.
