Emily Graves, M.D., FACS

About Dr. Graves

Dr. Graves received her Bachelor's of Science in Management and Finance from Tulane University and her Doctorate of Medicine from Wake Forest University School of Medicine, graduating summa cum laude. A native Memphian, Dr. Graves returned to Memphis to complete her medical training at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center Department of Ophthalmology at the Hamilton Eye Institute. She subsequently completed a fellowship in Cataract and Refractive Surgery at Loden Vision Centers in Nashville, Tennessee, prior to returning to the Memphis area and entering private practice.

Dr. Graves is a charter member of the Hamilton Eye Institute Lions Club, where she co-founded the Ivan Marais Cataract-a-Thon, an annual event providing free cataract surgery to those in need. She is also on the board of and a volunteer surgeon for both the World Cataract Foundation and the Surgical Eye Care Foundation, non-profit foundations that support surgical missions both internationally and here at home.

She is a board-certified ophthalmologist and is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Dr. Graves performs cataract and refractive surgery, clear lens exchange, as well as minimally-invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS).
