
About Dr. Irvine
Dr. David Irvine is a retina specialist, focusing on the treatment and surgical intervention of retinal disease. Dr. Irvine graduated from the University of Tennessee and received his Medical Degree from the University of Tennessee. He completed his internship at Methodist Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
He did his residency at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Ophthalmology at the University of Miami in Miami, Florida. He also completed his fellowship at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Vitreoretinal Surgery at the University of Miami. While attending Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, he was Chief Resident/Clinical Instructor for one year.
Dr. Irvine is Board Certified with the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is a member of the American Medical Association, Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, Tennessee Association of Ophthalmology and the Memphis Eye Society.
He has published numerous papers and delivered presentations at national meetings over the years.
